No. An eco-friendly box is one that is made only of paper not covered with plastic film. Only such paper is environmentally friendly, decomposes naturally in nature and does not pollute it. Such packaging can be sorted and disposed as waste paper for recycling. Packaging coated with plastic films (glossy and matte laminates) pollutes nature with plastic as it does not disintegrate naturally, it is not recyclable and therefore not environmentally friendly.
Packaging made from recycled cardboard differs from packaging made from primary wood raw material in terms of appearance and functionality. Recycled cardboard is not as aesthetically pleasing and durable as cardboard made from cellulose. It is less resistant to moisture and mechanical damage, it is thicker and heavier. It is these qualities that you should pay attention to when looking for a shipping package. A few additional grams of packaging or slightly larger outer dimensions of the package can lead to a higher shipping cost. Recycled cardboard packaging must have a certificate to confirm this. Assurance by the seller alone that the packaging is made from recycled cardboard is not sufficient.
Packaging made from recycled (KRAFT) cardboard is also environmentally friendly. It does not pollute nature because of being biodegradable, it can be composted or recycled. Certified boxes of unprocessed cardboard can be made from raw material extracted from a responsibly managed forest that is constantly replanted.
Yes, black corrugated cardboard boxes are environmentally friendly because they are made only of paper and naturally decompose in nature. Black boxes are sorted into waste paper for further recycling. If the box has a PVC window, it should be removed and sorted with plastic waste.

SUPERBOX packaging is designed not only with sustainability in mind, but also with the most important goal – ensuring that your shipment reaches the recipient safely.
While it is technically possible to produce boxes from 100% recycled corrugated cardboard, in practice this is not always suitable for shipping. Corrugated board made entirely from recycled fiber is more sensitive to moisture and less resistant to compression. As a result, during longer transportation, the box may lose its shape or become damaged.
We do not recommend choosing boxes made from 100% recycled cardboard if you are planning a more economical shipping option, where the parcel travels longer distances and is handled multiple times across sorting terminals.
For this reason, SUPERBOX packaging is made using an optimal material composition:
- approx. 70–80% recycled fiber – to reduce environmental impact
- approx. 20–30% virgin fiber – to provide additional strength and resistance
This combination ensures that the packaging:
- maintains its shape during transportation
- protects the contents from pressure and damage
- remains recyclable

Can I get exact data about recycled content in SUPERBOX packaging?

1. Quality boxes
Standard, quality cardboard boxes can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused, undamaged, in their original packaging (unfolded), and complete. Please note that custom-made, personalized, or branded packaging with your logo cannot be returned. The buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs of quality goods and must ensure the boxes are properly packed for transport.
2. Return process
Please send a written request to support@superbox.lt, including your order details and the bank account number for the refund. We will issue the refund only after receiving the goods and verifying that the returned boxes meet the specified conditions.
3. Defective boxes (manufacturing defect)
If the received packaging is defective due to our fault, it will be replaced free of charge or a full refund will be issued. SUPERBOX is not liable for packaging damage caused by improper storage conditions (e.g., exposure to moisture). In this case, please send your request along with photos of the boxes and a description of the defects to support@superbox.lt.

No, we do not ship orders to parcel lockers. Most of our packaging products are large-format (such as flat corrugated cardboard blanks) or oversized, meaning the parcels simply do not fit into standard parcel locker compartments. To ensure your order arrives safely and without damage, SUPERBOX delivers all packages via courier directly to your specified address.
You cannot cancel a custom order if its production has already started, as such orders are made specifically according to your requirements. If you wish to cancel your order, it is important to contact us immediately after placing it—before production begins, we may be able to offer a solution: stopping the order, making changes, or, if possible, refunding part of the payment. Once production has started, we will no longer be able to change or cancel the order.
Yes, we can produce boxes according to your individual dimensions and requirements. You can choose not only the size, but also the type of paper, color, printing method, and additional finishing options (such as lamination, foil stamping, or embossing). Please note that the minimum order quantity is 100 units to ensure quality and an efficient production process.
You can submit a request for custom-sized packaging.
Yes, we can adjust the box dimensions according to your needs — either reduce or enlarge them. These modifications are treated as custom orders, so the minimum order quantity is 100 pcs. Production usually takes between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the design, finishing, and order size.

Yes, we can produce boxes according to your custom design. If you already have a prepared layout, logo, or illustration, our team will ensure it is properly adapted for production. The raw materials we use to produce brown, white, and black boxes do not have specific color codes. Brown is a natural and variable color, so its shade may vary depending on the batch of raw materials — the color of brown boxes from different batches can differ significantly. Black and white colors are more stable and generally correspond to standard shades. The black color is similar to Pantone’s “Black 6 U” shade.
Yes, most of our boxes are sold flat, meaning unfolded. This helps save space in storage and during transportation. For most boxes, we provide clear folding instructions, which you can find on the product page or on our SUPERBOX YouTube channel. If instructions are not available or you need additional help, you can always contact our customer support team.
All the images you see in the SUPERBOX product cards and item catalog are 100% real photographs of the boxes we manufacture. We do not use computer-generated 3D models or graphic renderings to present our products.
We photograph every item in our own professional SUPERBOX photo studio. Thanks to perfect studio lighting and precise structural edges, the boxes look flawless in the photos—but in reality, they are exactly as pictured.
Important note regarding colors: While we capture colors as accurately as possible in our photos, different computer and phone screens (due to their settings, brightness, or screen matrix types) may display the same colors slightly differently. Therefore, the actual color of the box may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.
Tip: If you want to check the sturdiness of the cardboard in person or see the true color shade in your own environment's lighting before placing a larger order, you can always order a packaging sample.
No, gift boxes with windows, whether black or white, are not suitable for direct shipping. These boxes can easily get scratched, dirty, or deformed during transport. To ensure product safety, the boxes must be additionally packed in protective boxes or cardboard shipping packaging. This way, the shipment will reach the recipient neat and in perfect condition.
The European Union Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Regulation (EU) 2025/40, sets common requirements for packaging and packaging waste across the entire European Union.
The Regulation aims to reduce the amount of packaging and packaging waste, use raw materials more efficiently, increase packaging recyclability and reuse, and restrict certain hazardous substances.
The PPWR entered into force on February 11, 2025, and became generally applicable on August 12, 2026. The application deadlines for individual PPWR requirements vary, with some applying at a later date.
What does this mean for a SUPERBOX customer?
If you use SUPERBOX packaging for your products, information regarding the material composition of the packaging, its compliance with PPWR requirements, and its technical documentation may be relevant to you.

Yes. Packaging that was legally placed on the European Union market before the start of the applicable PPWR requirements does not need to be discarded or replaced simply due to the new PPWR requirements.
Therefore, you can continue using previously purchased SUPERBOX packaging that has already been placed on the EU market to pack your products until your current stock is exhausted.
New PPWR requirements apply according to the specific implementation deadlines set out in the Regulation. When planning new packaging orders, we recommend evaluating the requirements that apply to your specific packaging.

Generally, no.
If the packaging was legally placed on the European Union market before the start of application of the new PPWR requirements applicable to it, there is no need to retroactively prepare a new PPWR declaration of conformity simply due to the new PPWR requirements.
Such SUPERBOX packaging can continue to be used and distributed in accordance with the transitional rules applicable to it.
