Will packaging purchased before the start of the PPWR application require new compliance documents?
Generally, no.
If the packaging was legally placed on the European Union market before the start of the PPWR application, there is no need to retroactively prepare new PPWR-mandated compliance documents simply because most of the new regulation's requirements begin to apply from August 12, 2026.
This means that you can continue to use and sell SUPERBOX packaging purchased before this date until your current stock is exhausted.
