Can packaging purchased before the application of the PPWR requirements begins?
Yes. If the packaging was legally placed on the European Union market before the start of the PPWR application, there is no need to discard or replace it simply because most of the new regulation's requirements begin to apply from August 12, 2026.
This means that if you purchased SUPERBOX packaging before this date and have not yet had the chance to use it, you can continue using it to pack your products until your current stock is exhausted.
The new PPWR requirements apply to packaging placed on the EU market from the start of their application. Therefore, when planning new packaging orders, it is recommended to ensure that the chosen packaging complies with the legislation in force at that time.
